Even better and one prodigious Syrah, the 2010 Intrepid (100% Syrah) dishes out smoking notes of dark crushed berries, spring flower, coffee bean, edgy minerality and hints of chocolate that flow to a full-bodied, layered and multi-dimensional wine that carries its richness and depth effortlessly. Serious stuff, it is a classic Paso Robles Syrah that should not be missed! Drink 2015-2020.

Opaque purple. Deeply pitched aromas of dark berry liqueur and cherry-cola, with licorice and Indian spice notes adding complexity. Smooth, palate-coating black and blue fruit flavors show impressive depth, opening slowly to reveal floral and bitter chocolate qualities. Fine-grained tannins build with air and carry through a long, sweet, penetrating finish. This is still a baby.
