Black plum and signature blueberry, notes of savory cured meats, hints of coffee and cocoa along with dried herbs of sage and anise mingle through the nose and palate. The tactile presence is almost relentless. It is beautifully rich and layered with the signature Law Estate acidity keeping it balanced.

Even better and one prodigious Syrah, the 2010 Intrepid (100% Syrah) dishes out smoking notes of dark crushed berries, spring flower, coffee bean, edgy minerality and hints of chocolate that flow to a full-bodied, layered and multi-dimensional wine that carries its richness and depth effortlessly. Serious stuff, it is a classic Paso Robles Syrah that should not be missed! Drink 2015-2020.

Opaque purple. Deeply pitched aromas of dark berry liqueur and cherry-cola, with licorice and Indian spice notes adding complexity. Smooth, palate-coating black and blue fruit flavors show impressive depth, opening slowly to reveal floral and bitter chocolate qualities. Fine-grained tannins build with air and carry through a long, sweet, penetrating finish. This is still a baby.
