Refined and tightly focused, with vibrant aromas of raspberry, smoky sage and pepper that lead to complex flavors of ripe cherry, licorice and mineral, framed by a beam of lively acidity and tannins. Drink now through 2027.

A step back from the incredible 2011, the 2012 The Nines is 100% Grenache that was raised mostly in 50% new 500-liter puncheons, yet had a small percentage aged in one concrete egg. Medium ruby in color, it gives up lots of chalky minerality, dried rose petal, kirsch liqueur and spice-box notes in a medium to full-bodied, polished, elegant and supple package. It will benefit from a year or so in bottle and drink nicely through 2022.

Bright ruby-red. Hugely aromatic scents of ripe red berries, potpourri and incense, along with a subtle smoky topnote. Juicy and penetrating on the palate, offering vibrant raspberry and floral pastille flavors that deepen with air. Very pure, seamless Grenache with excellent closing focus, sneaky tannins and a whiplash of sweet red fruit.
