42% Syrah, 28% Petit Verdot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Grenache
All skiers and boarders can appreciate both the excitement and anticipation of their first run on a powder day, standing at the top of the mountain and savoring the first tracks of the day. We feel that same exhilaration with this wine since it’s the first wine in which we have incorporated Petit Verdot. Even though it is Syrah dominant, the Petit Verdot is apparent in the delicate violet and dark fruit components it adds to the blueberry, red plums, acai berries and dark chocolate notes we expect from the other varietals. The fruit in this wine is complemented with a larger percentage of new French oak, at about 65%, to match its strong structure and gracefully carry itself into the next decade.
