Like the cycling term Beyond Category, this wine does not fall into any classification for definitive purposes. From a winemaker’s perspective, it offers a true exploratory freedom without the confines of repetition every year. This freedom allowed us to find an incredible compliment of varietal and location in the vineyard. This wine is silky with a layered structure, full of vibrant red and purple fruit mixed with scents of lavender and mint. Waves of black cherry, rhubarb and red currant flavors are at the heart of this complex yet inviting blend and will be showcased for the next five to seven years.
